SOS Festival, in
Radcliffe, North Manchester, adds a further international influence with
FIREFORCE
(Belgium) and
GARAGEDAYS
(Austria) added to the 2015 schedule for the Dean Hocking Stage (main),
whilst British bands
KNOCK OUT KAINE
and
THE AMORETTES
are also added to the Dean Hocking Stage, and
STEEL THREADS
play the Metal Nation Radio Acoustic Stage.
FIREFORCE have
just recently been rewarded with a glorious 9/10 album review in Powerplay
magazine.. "every song kills.. an absolute storm of an album".
GARAGEDAYS
signed to Rocksector
Records for the release earlier this year of their hell-raising "Passion
Of Dirt" album produced by Ralf Scheepers of Primal Fear and
mixed/mastered by Andy LaRocque of King Diamond.
KNOCK OUT KAINE
are currently
causing a serious stir with their latest music video "Set The Night On
Fire" which features a cameo appearance by Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson.
Awarded Kerrang!'s Best Unsigned Act of 2008, the band toured widely with
Adler's Appetite & also Chris Holmes of W.A.S.P. before releasing a debut
album "House Of Sins"
All-female trio
THE AMORETTES
have just played a barnstorming set at Bloodstock Open Air with a great
crowd watching them on the Jagermeister Stage and a fantastic response to
their no-nonsense rock n roll. Finally, we're delighted to welcome
STEEL THREADS
back to SOS Festival, Metal Nation Radio Acoustic stage - although now
independent, this band released their debut album on Rocksector Records
and their folk-influenced acoustic guitar, vocals and fiddle have always
been a hit with our audiences.
The above bands join
the previously announced headliner - former Iron Maiden vocalist
BLAZE BAYLEY
who plays an exclusive "Silicon Messiah" 15th Anniversay show, plus
AVENGER,
BLACK WHISKEY,
DIE NO MORE,
MOTHERLOAD,
TEN BY TEN
&
WIZZ ACOUSTIC.
SOS is presented by
independent record label Rocksector Records & 2015 will be the 8th such
event. Previous headliners include I AM I, GUN, Black Spiders, Heavens
Basement, Absolva and Beholder.
In 2015, the event takes place on 17th - 19th July, and tickets which are already
on-sale, represent outstanding value once again at £15 for a weekend & £10
for Saturday or Sunday single tickets. Friday night is
charged separately at £5 or for weekend ticket purchasers it's included in
the price.
Our special thanks go to our
partners Powerplay, Get Your Rock Out and Metal Nation Radio for their
kind help.
